Climate change is any long-term significant change in the “average weather” that a given region experiences. Average weather may include average temperature, precipitation and wind patterns. It involves changes in the variability or average state of the atmosphere over durations ranging from decades to millions of years. These changes can be caused by dynamic process on Earth, external forces including variations in sunlight intensity, and more recently by human activities. One of the consequences of the climate changes is the Global Warming,one of he most important problem of the European Union and even the hole world.The clime effects our way of leaving and developing as a human been, nation and specie, every change suffered by it affects us directly.If 50 years ago the seasons were differenced by there temperature,being classified each in 3 months,today they interact themselves creating a confusion in the normal way of gradual passing. The nature responds to the seasons (if it's spring, the flowers bloom, if it's autumn, the leafs drop from the trees etc.) because of the clime. But if the weather does not respect the temperature specific for each season, the nature changes her actions so fast that causes the climate changes, for example: the winter ends in January, but this year in Romania it started snowing at the end of March. Fot the youth part of the population of the entire world, the climate changes affects allmost everithing, starting from way of evoluating, memories, diseases and future comings.We all think about the day of tomorrow, but nobody does something to make it better; for that we must take action for the problem of the climate changes for the best of our FUTURE. Climate change is one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the planet. In the last years, scientific research and knowledge on climate change have progressed substantially, confirming that the current warming of the Earth’s climate is very likely to be due to human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels. I think that young people should care about climate change because they will live in this world and they must to think how they want to live: they can be indifferent, thing that affect their lives, or they can take attitude and try to do something good for environment. Maybe some people are not interested to know that public transport can help reduce carbon emissions, that have grow in the last years, maybe some are thinking that it’s easier to travel by car. The people must to be educated and well-informed about the risks produced by their negligence. A poor vegetation…this is one of the changes…in my opinion one of the most important. What we exactly can do? Use combustibles poor in carbon, ecological means of transport, protect the forest, recycling materials. Impacts of climate change have already been observed. In all regions of the world observations show that many natural systems are being affected by regional climate change, particularly by temperature increases. Snow and ice are melting and frozen ground is thawing. The number of glacial lakes is increasing and so is ground instability in permafrost regions. The flow of rivers that are fed by melting snow and glaciers has increased, and the temperature of lakes and rivers has risen.
In the problem of the climate changes, we must all take action and responsibility for what we do, and in order to stimulate the people we must give them the power of the example.The Global Warming was discovered because of the consequences of using tehnology and other factors like energy and big amount of carbon. Carbon comes from sourses like petrol and natural gas,in order to low that quantity we must stop using these kind of substances. We will never have the safeness of the day of tomorrow if we don't take action and involve ourselves for the good of our living.
The implication of teenagers in the problems of climate changes
In my opinion one of the most concerning problem of our planet is the climate change, known as “global warming”, that is starting to take place. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation. Many people are responsible for the global warming: from big companies and industries to the most insignificant of people’s actions. Some of its factors are pollution and the greenhouse effect: caused by huge masses of different types of gas. The greenhouse effect is the process in which the emission of infrared radiation by the atmosphere warms a planet's surface. The name comes from an incorrect analogy with the warming of air inside a greenhouse compared to the air outside the greenhouse. The Earth reflects about 30% of the incoming solar radiation. The remaining 70% is absorbed, warming the land, atmosphere and oceans. Everybody has a chance to save the planet from pollution help “rebuild” it. Teenagers should have the biggest impact on this issue because they are the future hope of our planet. Being the young (new) generation offers them the chance to build a brighter future because they could make this point of view more understood by the older generation which many times listens to what they have to say. Teenagers are most likely to succeed in overcoming this problem by drawing people’s attention through protests, “save the Earth” meetings, demonstrations and other methods. In conclusion people should take more care of the little “blue planet” they call home and stop pollution while they can and with it they can end global warming. (Cojocaru Aida, IX D)
